Program Description

Event Details

Long Island is a popular stop over and nesting area for many avian species. Join Town of Brookhaven Environmental Educator Nicole Pocchiare for a birding walk on the beach and along the salt marsh. We will observe and identify the fine feathered friends that thrive in our shorelines and coastal wetlands. We will meet at the pavilion at West Meadow Beach. Please wear closed, comfortable shoes; binoculars and a field guide are recommended.

Please make sure to arrive early to pay for parking if you are not in possession of a Town parking permit.

Otherwise, if you would like to find out how to acquire a seasonal parking permit, or to learn more about general guidelines and fees for parking at West Meadow Beach, please visit the Town of Brookhaven's website.
