Event Details

Join Town of Brookhaven Environmental Educator, Nicole Pocchiare in a lesson and restoration activity regarding Long Island Sound. The lesson will be paired with a Clean-up at West Meadow Beach as an effort in restoring vital habitats connected to Long Island Sound. This educational program is designed to shape more resilient communities and is brought to you in part by the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation with the Long Island Sound Study. Teens must attend this program to qualify for the Library-hosted Beach Cleanup at West Meadow Beach on July 18 and/or August 14, 2024. Earn 1 hour of community service credit upon completion of the program.

If you would like to attend the Beach Cleanup, you must have the Library Teen Volunteering in the Community and Parent/Guardian Permission Form on file.  Forms can be found here: https://teen.emmaclark.org/library-teen-volunteering/
