Program Description

Event Details

Join a representative from the Parents for Megan’s Law Crime Victims Center for a workshop, during which teen participants will be provided with detailed information about what a hate crime is and what to do if you or someone you know may be a victim of a hate crime. Participants learn about prejudice, discrimination, stereotyping and the seriousness of hate crimes, and how it effects victims and communities, as well as a detailed overview of the rights of crime victims and services that they are entitled to under the law. Earn 1 hour of community service credit upon completion of the program.
