Program Description

Event Details

G, PG, PG-13, R. You know movie ratings, but do you really understand how they came to be, and what they mean?  Join ratings-history enthusiast (and librarian) Emily Ostrander to learn about the history of movie ratings in the US, and how they function today.  We will play “what’s it rated” to see how well you understand the rating systems of yesterday and today.  Earn 1 hour of community service credit for participating.  Stick around after the program to watch a scary, yet PG, movie, Poltergeist (1982)!
