Are we alone? Never before in the course of human history have scientists been so close to answering this most fundamental question of our existence.  For decades scientists have searched for evidence of life on the planets and moons of our solar system and on an ever-increasing number of habitable exoplanets.

Matthew Pappas, Associate Professor of Astronomy, (Suffolk Community College) presents the most recent developments in the scientific pursuit of finding life beyond our planet and its implication for human colonization of other worlds.
