Event Details

On Monday, April 8, a total solar eclipse will cross North America. A solar eclipse happens when the Moon passes between the Sun and Earth, completely blocking the face of the Sun.

If you want to view the eclipse, It's important to wear specialized eye protection designed for solar viewing.

We have a limited number of solar eclipse glasses for all ages in our community!  1 pair of glasses per household, please. Those who have reserved glasses may pick them up from the Circulation Desk in the lobby between April 1 - 6.

Please note: Patrons who are registered for the solar eclipse programs will automatically receive glasses at the programs and do not need to reserve glasses for pick up.
