Program Description

Event Details

Are you already skilled in knit, crochet, felting, sewing, or another fiber-art, and want to put your skills to philanthropic use?  Join us at the Stitching Circle for a self-led stitching session!  Attendees will be given ideas for projects to create and donate; patterns may be researched on the spot.  Work on the project at the Library and from home, then get credit when you drop off the completed item!  Attendees of this program are expected to have the skills needed to complete a project with minimal guidance, as well as be willing to assist fellow attendees in learning/reinforcing new skills.  There will be no formal instruction, but supportive, fiber arts-skilled Library Staff will be present, to assist as needed.  Teens earn 2 hours of community service credit for attending the Stitching Circle, and further credit for completed items (credit varies by item).  Attend one or more sessions!  Snacks will be provided.
