Program Description

Event Details

Join a representative from the LI LGBT Network for this engaging workshop.  The rep will define some common LGBT terminology, explain the difference between sexual orientation and gender identity, and help teens better understand the experience of LGBT youth, followed by a discussion of how they can help prevent and stop bullying and create safer and more supportive environments for all young people.  Participants will also create gift items for youth served by the LI LGBT Network. Earn 1.5 hours of community service credit for attending.
