Program Description

Event Details

Take Back the Night is an international organization with the mission of ending sexual, relationship, and domestic violence. Teens will learn the history and mission of Take Back the Night, then create items to hang on clotheslines, containing positive affirmations and messages of empowerment for survivors. The items will be donated to local organizations, including Long Island Against Domestic Violence, Crimes Victim Center, SEPA Mujer, ECLI-VIBES, as well as displayed at the Take Back the Night events. Taught by Danielle DiMauro, Chair of Take Back the Night SCCC.  Earn 1 hour of community service credit upon completion of the program.
