AARP Smart Driver Course
This 6-hour course for those age 50 and up qualifies licensed drivers to receive a reduction of up to four points on their driver’s license or a 10% deduction on collision and liability auto insurance rates for a period of three years. Some insurance companies give both benefits. Certificates of completion will be mailed within a month after completion of the class. A $30 fee ($25 with proof of AARP membership) must be paid by check to the instructor before class. Checks should be made payable to AARP. Attendees should arrive before 9:45 to avoid losing their place. Standbys will be admitted to fill any seats not yet claimed and paid for when the class begins. Latecomers will not be admitted.
Receipt of Certificate: Should you have any issues in the receipt of your certificate after taking part in this two-day course, please contact AARP directly at the following number and speak with one of their representatives.: 1-866-732-4213 Neither Emma S. Clark Library staff nor the AARP volunteer instructor retain the information necessary to resolve individual certificate disputes.
