This course is being offered at the library by the New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historical Preservation. After completing this course, you will receive a New York State Safe Boating Certificate. This course is now mandatory for anyone, regardless of age, who operates a boat, watercraft or Jet Ski in NY State. In this two-evening, 8-hour course, Captain Rich Cloonan will teach the basic principles of safe and responsible boating.

Students must be at least 10 years old to attend the course and must attend both class sessions to receive certification. The $40 per person materials fee must be paid to the instructor at the first class (pay with cash or Venmo). Space is limited.
